Since the Mayans and the Aztec, until present time, Copal has been part of our culture (as offering, yoga practice and therapies, massages, etc), it's been used to purify people, places and things. 

It is part of relaxation rituals and it is an oblation during special holidays such as the Day of the Deads and Spring equinox in places like Chichen Itza, Tulum, Teotihuacan, Tahin and many more.
